Background of the Study

Universities have long relied on traditional methods for collecting student feedback, such as paper-based surveys or email questionnaires, which can be easily manipulated or lost. The introduction of blockchain technology presents a unique opportunity to address these issues by creating an immutable, transparent, and secure platform for collecting and storing student feedback. This study explores the potential of using blockchain to enhance the feedback process in universities, focusing on its application at universities in Minna, Niger State.

A blockchain-based feedback system ensures the integrity of feedback data, making it resistant to tampering or unauthorized access. This level of security and transparency can lead to more honest and valuable feedback, which can be used to improve teaching practices, student services, and the overall university experience. The study aims to assess the feasibility of implementing a blockchain-based student feedback system in Minna and evaluate its impact on data security and the quality of feedback collected.

Statement of the Problem

Traditional methods of collecting and managing student feedback in universities in Minna, Niger State, often face challenges such as data manipulation, loss, and security breaches. The scope is limited to the university-level feedback process, excluding other types of feedback systems. Limitations may include technical challenges related to blockchain implementation and potential resistance to adopting new technologies among stakeholders.
